• Starting the Game
  • The game is immediately playable once it loads.

  • Desktop
    • With your keyboard, use the arrows to move all the tiles in a specific direction.
    • Alternately, left click and drag with your mouse in the desired direction to move the tiles.
  • Touchscreen devices

      • Refresh move button: Undoes your previous move

  • Basic rules
    • You begin with a 4 x 4 grid with one or two animal tiles on it.
    • Move the animal tiles around.
      • All the tiles move in the same direction.
      • Each time you move, another tile appears in any of the cells on the edge opposite of the direction you moved.
        • (e.g. if you moved down, a new tile appears in any of the 4 cells on the top row.
    • If a pair of identical animal tiles come together, they will merge to form a new animal tile worth twice their value.
      • The value of each animal tile appears on its bottom right.
      • As a hint, the animals each tile is based on is significantly bigger in real life than its predecessor.
    • Keep merging and moving tiles until you form one with the value of 2048.
    • The game ends when you run out of space to move.
      • Select the reset button on the bottom center if you want to play again.
  • Scoring
    • The points you receive are based on the value of each pair of identical animal icons you merge.
      • If you merge two ants (with the value of 2 each), you gain 4 points.
      • This goes on to every animal you merge.
    • Your high score updates in real time. It grows with your current score once you sur your previous record.
  • Tips
    • Try to move all the tiles in toward a single corner as much as possible.
      • We recommend moving it toward the bottom left corner.
      • This will isolate the largest tile and make it easier to move.
      • It will also restrict the creation of new low-value tiles toward a specific set of edges, which make them easier to merge.
    • Do not move the largest tile once it starts to form at your corner of choice.
    • Try not to move up unless you are certain the largest tile won’t move or if you have no other option.
