• Starting the Game
  • Select the Play button on the right side of the welcome screen to start the game.

    • Identical matches
      • In this game you must match identical insets to remove them.
    • Line drawing
      • When you select identical stones the game will automatically draw a line connecting the stones provided the line does not through any other stones and
        • the line is a straight horizontal or vertical line, or
        • the line turns at right angles no more than twice.
    • Exterminator spray
      • Each level contains 2 aerosol bug exterminator spray cans.
      • When you connect these all other bug tiles are instantly destroyed and the level is beat.
        • Later stages which contain many tiles and a short time limit should typically be completed via the exterminator spray.
        • Beating levels with the exterminator spray can lead to large chain bonuses, particularly if you only removed a few tiles from the field before connecting the spray cans.
  • Levels
    • This game has 15 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can’t go back and replay previously beat levels without starting the game over at the first level.
    • Level time
      • The first stage starts out with a 5 minute time limit, with each subsequent level giving you a 15 second shorter time limit than you had on the prior level.
      • For example, on level 6 you have 3:45 to beat it & you only have 1:30 to beat the final level.

      • The first stage consists of a 7×6 grid containing 42 tiles or 21 tile pairs.
      • The second stage consists of a 8×7 grid containing 56 tiles or 28 tile pairs.
      • The third stage consists of a 8×8 grid containing 64 tiles or 32 tile pairs.
      • The fourth level has a 9×8 grid containing 72 tiles or 36 tile pairs.
      • The fifth stage has a 10×10 grid containing 100 tiles or 50 tile pairs.
      • The sixth stage has a 11×12 grid containing 132 tiles or 66 tile pairs.
      • From the seventh stage onward the grid size does not change.
  • Scoring
    • Your game score is cumulative across levels.
    • Scoring points
      • You earn 50 points for each tile pair you remove from the board.
      • You can activate a chain bonus by quickly removing multiple tile pairs.
        • The chain bonus starts at 10 points for the second set and grows on additional sets.
        • If you use the exterminator spray when many tiles are still on the board you can earn a huge chain bonus which runs into the thousands of points and maybe even 10,000’s of points in some instances.
      • Every second you have remaining when you beat a level is worth 10 points.

      • Shuffles cost 350 points.
      • Hints cost 250 points.
  • Strategy
    • Bug spray FTW!
      • The key to beating this game quickly and maximizing your score (via the chain bonus) is to connect the two bug extinguisher cans as quickly as possible on each stage.
      • Draw lines connecting the two bug sprays looking for the quickest paths, then start removing any tiles in the way of those paths, and then look for ways to open up that area to enable you to remove the last few remaining bugs.
    • Take advantage of shuffles
      • When you shuffle tiles all tiles on a stage may shuffle with the exception of the locations of the bug spray tiles.
    • Replay a bad start
      • If you fail a level and replay it the bug spray cans will likely be in different positions than they were on the prior play.
      • If you get off to a bad start you can refresh your web browser to start the level over again.
