• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select the play button at the center to begin.
    • Select the speaker button on the top right corner to begin.

  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click to select.
  • Touchscreen devices

• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Bring the ball to the box.
      • The ball starts off dangling on a thread.
      • There is a trampoline (called a “spring” in-game) that you can use to bounce the ball to a desired location.
        • You can move the trampoline around as needed.
        • There can be several trampolines in the level.
    • To move the ball, select the string. Make sure the string has swung in the correct direction.
      • The level is complete when the ball successfully makes it to the box.
    • On the win screen are the following options:
      • Select the grid button to return to the level selection screen.
      • Select the reset button to start the game from the beginning.
      • Select the double arrow button to load the next level.
  • Level features
    • Immobile wood block barriers
      • These take on the appearance of pieces of rock. You can roll across them, but they quickly disappear after touching them.
      • Often, you can use these to bounce the ball into the desired direction, preferably toward the box. However, you cannot move them, so you must work around them.
      • If the bauble falls a long distance onto a wood block it can bounce off like a low-powered trampoline.
    • Spiked barriers
      • Spiked barriers resemble ice cubes with skulls and icicles on them.
      • Hitting any of the cubes is an instant failure.
    • Portals
      • Balls come in on the green portal and come out of the red one.
      • Sometimes, you must bounce the ball toward the portals to get past otherwise imable barriers.
    • Spinners
      • These can catch the ball and propel it forward through the course.
      • You have to time your interactions with these or the ball can bounce off in the wrong direction.
    • Flippers
      • These operate automatically, and are similar to flippers on a pinball machine.
  • Lives and star ratings
    • You start with 3 lives, represented by stars on the top left corner of the screen.
    • Each time you fail, you lose a life.
    • Lose all your lives and you fail the level.
    • Your star rating depends on the number of attempts it took to get the ball into the box.
  • Levels
    • There are 30 levels in this game, which are unlocked sequentially.
    • You can replay any of the levels you’ve already unlocked.
  • Tips
    • Trampolines can be used in many ways.
      • Placing a trampoline low on the screen will lead to a longer fall, and thus a higher relative bounce.
        • Placing a trampoline rather close to the bauble means when the bauble hits the trampoline it may intermittently roll between small bounces.
      • Trampolines can be placed near ice blocks, wood blocks, or flippers to prevent .
        • You can place a portion of the flipper even through these elements so that the flipper is only touched after an associated wood block is broken.
      • Trampolines can be placed after the gift wrapping station (or in other locations) to redirect momentum.
        • The angle of the trampoline determines how much of its potential energy is converted into vertical jumping energy and how much is converted into horizontal energy.
    • Go in order
      • If you are struggling with trampoline placements you can focus on getting the first trampoline placement correct and then after getting it in place & tested work on other parts of the level.
      • If you lose, you can use the screen background to help you where you placed trampolines on a prior play & when you released the bauble.
    • Many ways to win
      • Most levels have more than one way to beat them.
        • Some stages have shortcuts that allow you to redirect the ball back without having to make your way fully across the level.
        • On many levels you do not need to use all the trampolines to win.
      • When using trampolines sometimes you have to carry them a far distance from their initial position rather than using the one which is adjacent to the area you want to use it.
      • Due to small differences in physics from slightly different release timing, spinning piece positioning, trampoline placements, moving light at the top of the screen placement, hitting edges of items on subsequent bounces, etc. … making almost the exact same play can have dramatically different outcomes.
