The object is to guide a bouncing circle down a jagged line without touching it. You move the circle by gently tapping at it. On a desktop, you do this by lightly clicking on the mouse. Tapping moves the circle upward; the circle moves forward and falls down on its own. The game calculates points based on how many times you tap. Along the way, you can grab several gems. The game records the number of gems you’ve accumulated over several playthroughs.
This is another game that revels in deceptive simplicity. On a desktop, it’s quite difficult to keep the circle in play. You must consider each tap with care. It takes quick reflexes, good judgment, and a gentle touch to go far in this game.
One of those games that takes a while to get used to. But it’s surely fulfilling once you get the hang of it. The challenge with Circles is you have to be sensitive enough when to press the mouse. You also have to be careful not to press your mouse too hard. The goal is to keep the ring from touching the wire as it moves and zigzags into different directions. You have to be gentle with clicks as the ring moves up or down.
This is hard to play at first. But with practice, you get a sense of when to press the mouse gently. You also earn extra points when the ring es through a diamond. On my first couple of tries, I immediately died. A few minutes into the game, my best score was 11. Still a cool game to the time. It’s cool to keep playing it.
