• Starting the Game
  • Select the orange Play button on the homepage to start the game.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • The welcome screen also has the following buttons:
    • Gameplay help, your local high scores, and a more games button in the center of the screen.
    • Language select in the lower left.
    • Social sharing & developer information buttons in the lower right.

    • Use your mouse left click button to select an open tile & then select a matching tile which is also open to remove both from the playing field.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the tiles with your finger to select them.
  • Controls & indicators
    • Along the right side of the screen it shows your score, current level number, and remaining time.
    • Underneath these indicators are 5 control buttons: pause game, shuffle tiles, control game sounds, control game music & switch to full screen mode.
• Game Play
  • Open Tiles
    • In mahjong solitaire you can only pair off open tiles.
    • In this game open stones tend to have a brighter color while other stones have a darker color.
    • A stone is considered open if no tile is on top of it & at least one side (left or right) is open with nothing directly adjacent on the same vertical plane.
  • Timing
    • You must beat each level before the timer runs out.
    • The first level gives you 1:00 to beat it & each subsequent level has a unique time limit which reflects how complex the level is and how far you have progressed through the game.
  • Scoring
    • Your game score is cumulative across all rounds.
    • Each tile match is worth 100 points.
    • You score 30 points for each second you have remaining when you complete a level.
    • Using the shuffle feature costs you 300 points.
