• Starting the Game
  • Press the play button in the center of the welcome screen to start the game.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click button to select a tile. Adjacent tiles which have the same value will merge into that tile.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger to select a tile. Adjacent tiles which have the same value will merge into that tile.
  • Controls & indicators
    • Across the top of the game there are 4 buttons for pausing the game, restarting the game, controlling game sound, and going to the game’s welcome screen.
    • Under those buttons the game shows your current score and your all-time best score.
    • Along the bottom of the screen the game shows the largest stones you have merged to starting with 16 and showing each additional stone you create beyond that.

  • Basics
    • Your goal with this game is to make as many merges as you can in a 5×5 grid.
    • Adjacent stones of the same value can be merged by selecting one of them.
      • Select a stone where there are 2 or more adjacent stones of the same value and all the stones in that sequence will merge into a single stone in the location you selected.
      • Adjacent stones can be vertically aligned, horizontally aligned, any combination of vertical or horizontal, but a diagonal match does not count as adjacent.
    • New stones will fall into the top of the screen to fill in holes in the board.
  • Scoring
    • Each merge you make is worth points, with 10 points for each stone used in the merge.
  • Losing
    • Eventually no move will be possible & then the game ends.
  • Strategy
    • Some games offer a point multiplier for larger matches, but this game does not, with the score for matches being linear to the number of pieces used.
      • Making smaller match sets gives you greater control and allows for more flexible adjustment of strategy as new pieces fall into the board.
    • Try not to let low valued stones get near the bottom of the board.
      • If they do get buried there try to merge away horizontally above stones until you can match the lower stone with other stones.
    • Match order
      • Try to make horizontal matches high on the board first, then make other horizontal matches while leaving vertical matches available unless the vertical match creates additional matches.
      • Vertical matches never fall out of alignment, but horizontal matches can.
