• Starting the Game
  • Select the start button in the center of the welcome screen to start the first level of the game or continue a prior game.
    • Levels are completed sequentially.
    • The bottom of the welcome screen shows what level you are on.

  • Matching stones
    • In Mahjong Connect you can match identical stones which:
      • are directly adjacent
      • can be connected by a straight horizontal or vertical line which does not through other stones
      • can be connected by a vertical & horizontal line which turns at 90 degrees no more than twice without ing through any other stones
  • Levels
    • The game has 50 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • Early levels are easy but the last half dozen levels can be challenging to beat before the timer runs out. If you are having trouble with the level timer then try to make the easiest matches possible early to try to clear out space in the level to open up more matches.
      • If you lose on a level you can replay it an unlimited number of times.
      • When you have beat a level you can not replay it without starting the game over from the first level.
    • Level design
      • Some levels leave tiles in position where they were while some other levels either fill in a direction, or have multiple rails tiles move on.
        • The tiles that do not fill but are on a closed loop move a position each time you make any match (even if that match does not use a tile from that loop).
      • Where tiles move on rails the level can have a closed loop the tiles move around, or rails where different sets of tiles fill in different directions.
      • Once you become aware of which way tiles fill or move you can use that to your advantage to know which tiles you should match while they are aligned & which tiles will be aligned after your next move.
    • Star ratings
      • You can earn up to a 3-star rating on each level based on how quickly you beat it, however the star ratings are not shown anywhere after you leave the level.
