• Starting the Game
  • At the center of the welcome screen, select Play to begin.
  • On the bottom right corner of the welcome screen are the following controls:
    • Select the music button on top to turn the game’s music on or off.
    • Select the speaker button below to turn the game’s sound effects on or off.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.

    • With your keyboard:
      • Press the left arrow or A key to move the gears counterclockwise.

• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Turn the gears in a single direction.
      • Choosing the direction determines the movement of all the purple gears in the mechanism, including the background.
      • The manual controls do not control the red mechanisms.
    • Use the manual controls to turn the gears in the path of the ball.
      • Use the gears to stop or direct the ball so it can reach the pipe at the end.
      • Make sure that the ball avoids the red mechanisms and stays within the path.
    • Do not let the ball fall off or hit the autonomous red mechanisms. If you do so, you fail the level.
    • The end screen controls appear on the bottom row:
      • Select Main Menu on the left to return to the welcome screen.
      • Select Restart at the center to play the level again.
      • Select Next Level on the right to move forward to the next level. This is only available if you win.
  • Features
    • Ball – the item which you must get safely into the pipe.
    • Gears – items which you turn to help send the ball along its way & to help change the speed and direction the ball changes.
    • Rotating platforms – operate similarly to gears. When you get to around level 24 the platforms which have blue in their center spin the opposite direction with your movements of the platforms with purple in the center.
    • Red blades – can be fixed or on a moving rail. Touch them and you die.
    • Moving platforms – some are controlled automatically and go at a regular interval, whereas others are controlled by your clockwise or counterclockwise movement.
    • Attraction beams – place these on the ball to suck the ball toward the beam. The arrow on the beam source pointing into it indicates the direction of force is toward the beam source. Attraction is yellow.
    • Repulsion beam – place these on the ball to push the ball away from the beam. The arrow on the beam source pointing away indicates the direction of force away from the beam source. Repulsion is orange.
    • Magnetic attraction field – you control the strength of the fields (indicated by their size) by rotating clockwise or counterclockwise. These suck the ball toward them and hold the ball on them until you remove the magnetic field. Attraction is yellow.
    • Magnetic repulsion field – these operate like the opposite of the attraction fields, pushing the ball away from them. Repulsion is orange.
  • Levels
    • There are 35 levels in this game, which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can replay any of the levels you’ve already beaten.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a level by getting the ball safely into the pipe.
      • You lose a level if the ball falls off platform or touches a red blade.
      • This game offers unlimited continues, starting you at the beginning of any failed level.
  • Tips
    • You won’t always be able to push the ball; don’t let it lose momentum unless you have another source of force ahead.
    • Pay attention to the length of the paths the red mechanisms take. If one side is longer, you have a longer window to move the ball while the ball is moving in that direction.
    • Play around with the mechanism to see where they go and how they move.
