• Starting the Game
  • Press the play button in the bottom center of the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • The welcome screen has sound control and music control buttons top center.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Press the A key or the left arrow key to move left.
    • Press the D key or the right arrow key to move right.
    • Press the W key or the up arrow key to move up.
    • Press the S key or the down arrow key to move down.
    • Press the U key to undo a move.
    • You can also move by pressing your mouse left click button and dragging your mouse across the screen in the direction you want to move.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger and slide your finger along the screen in the direction you want to move.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left has a level select button.
    • The upper right has buttons for undoing a move & restarting the current level.
    • The lower left corner shows the current level number.
    • The level select screen shows how many levels you have unlocked.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • This is a slide puzzle game where you slide in whichever direction you choose until you run into a wall, an enemy, or another object.
    • Clear each stage of enemies to unlock the exit ladder.
    • Avoid running into spikes or arrows.
    • Take the ladder exit to move onto the next stage.
  • Enemies & hazards
    • Basic enemies – slide into them directly or hit a skull into them to defeat them.
      • Some enemies are on the far side of spikes which you can not traverse twice & require you to defeat them by knocking a skull into them.
    • Blue skulls – you can defeat blue skulls by bumping into them.
      • The blue skull will move in the direction you hit it until it runs into another enemy it destroys or the edge of the stage.
    • Archers – Archers can be defeated like other enemies with a few exceptions:
      • You can not hit them from the direction their arrow is pointing.
      • When you hit an archer it turns into a skull, which also must be hit again.
      • The skull points an arrow in the direction you hit the archer from, so you must make the second hit from another direction.
    • Spikes – you can side over spikes once, but then they are no longer retracted.
      • If you run into spikes that are exposed you will die.
    • Other objects – levels have walls, treasure chests, and candle holders which you may run into.
      • These objects stop you but do not move or go away.
  • Levels
    • This game has 20 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a level by defeating all the enemies and then making it through the level exit.
      • You lose a level if you run into an arrow or a spike.
      • If you get stuck or make an error you can use the buttons in the upper right to undo a move or restart the level from the beginning.
      • This game offers unlimited continues, starting you at the beginning of any failed level.
  • Tips
    • Consider your starting point and look at which opponents you can hit from your initial path.
      • If these enemies are not easily accessible from other directions you may need to take them out first.
    • Blue skulls usually need to be knocked into enemies.
      • If an enemy is behind spikes or hard to reach look for how you can approach the blue skull to knock it into that enemy.
      • Be sure to take out archers from a direction where you are able to hit them again to send the blue skulls in the direction you need to send them.
    • Stuck?
      • If you make an error don’t be afraid to restart the level.
      • If you get stuck consider starting by going in a different direction, or work backward from the hard to reach enemies to figure the path you need to take.
