• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select the play button at the bottom center to begin.
    • Select the speaker button on the top right corner to turn the game’s sounds on or off.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your best score.
    • Your best score appears above the play button at the center of the screen.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click on either side to move there and cut.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on either side of the screen with your fingers to move to there and cut.
  • Controls and indicators (top row, left to right)
    • Timer
    • X button: Quits the game and returns you to the welcome screen
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • Chop the tree section by section.
      • Move from one side and chop there to avoid hitting any of the branches above you.
      • If there is a branch above you, move to the other side.
      • A branch on the other side at ground level will not hit you.
    • Repeat the process for as long as you can.
    • You have a limited number of time to chop.
      • Each time you chop down a section of tree, you gain a little extra time.
      • The game ends when a branch strikes you or you run out of time at the timer.
    • On the game over screen are the following controls:
      • Select the reset button to start a new session.
      • Select the X button to quit and return to the welcome screen.
  • Scoring
    • You earn 1 point for every section of the tree you cut down.
    • Your current score appears below the game’s timer bar.
    • You can compare your latest and previous best scores on the game over screen.
