• Starting the Game
  • Press the START button on the welcome screen to load the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click button to select a character from the “plan your tactics” menu & drag them into one of the positions on the playing field.
    • Repeatedly drag army into position until you are confident you will be able to win the battle, or you have used all your battle points.
    • Tap the ready button to initiate the battle.
    • Tap the reset button if you make a mistake.
      • This enables you to restore all your battle points so you can lay anew.
      • You can also lay one type of infantry atop another to replace them.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger to select an army member and drag them into position.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The level select screen shows how many levels you have unlocked. Scroll from side to side to scroll through levels.
    • The “plan your tactics” menu shows your current level number, wave number, how many battle points you have used & how many total battle points you have to use on the current wave.
    • In the lower right corner of the screen there is a button you can use to double or triple the speed.
    • In the upper right corner there is a settings button which reveals buttons for sound control, music control, full screen mode & exit game.
    • Each character has a health bar above it.
    • The top center of the screen shows the aggregate team health bar for each side.

  • Basics
    • This is a battle strategy game where you are given a set number of battle points to use in each level.
    • You use battle points by laying various fighters onto the board.
    • After laying all your fighters you can then begin battle.
      • The battle is automated.
      • You do not control the individual fighters, only which fighters are part of your army.
  • Characters
    • As you play through the game you face a variety of opposing characters & then can also have the characters as part of your army.
      • You can use the same type of character repeatedly as part of your army.
      • The magic is in finding the right mix of characters.
      • If you do not use all your battle points while building your army the battle points will carry over to the next wave within that level, though they do not carry over to the next level.
    • Character list
      • Basic infantry does melee attack & costs 1 battle point.
      • Infantry with shield does melee attack & can withstand more damage, costing 2 battle points.
      • Spearman has greater attack range than ordinary infantry, a defensive shield, and costs 3 battle points.
      • Morning star men have greater attack range, do more damage, have a shield, and cost 4 battle points.
      • Archer does range attack but has a weak defense. He costs 2 battle points.
      • Crossbowman is similar to the archer but does a more powerful attack. He costs 4 battle points.
      • Axeman does a high-damage attack which also stuns the fighter he hits. The axeman costs 8 battle points.
      • Small dog is fast but has weak defense and does little damage. It costs 1 battle point.
      • Medium dog is stronger than the small dog in of defense and attack. It costs 3 battle points.
      • Large dog does a strong attack and stuns whoever it hits. It costs 6 battle points.
  • Levels
    • This game has 10 levels.
      • Each level has 3 waves.
      • Each time you beat a level you unlock the next.
    • Winning vs losing
      • To beat a level you have to beat all 3 waves.
      • To beat a wave your opponent must run out of hit points before you do.
      • If your health goes to zero you lose.
        • When you lose this game offers unlimited continues.
        • You can continue playing the same level you just played, but you will start out on the first wave.

        • The above army uses 72 battle points by leveraging the 50 basic battle points and the 23 carry over.
  • Tips
    • Quantity vs quality
      • Typically it is better to use more participants than to use fewer higher-powered army men.
      • Some enemies stun you after each attack. Having multiple lower powered fighters allows you to keep attacking in between their attacks even if some of your team are stunned.
    • Melee vs range
      • Unless the opposing side has many archers you can often get a leg up on them by placing range attack archers & crossbowmen in your back column.
      • If the opposing side has many archers or crossbowmen your goal should be to take out their infantry as fast as possible so that your army can melee attack their range fighters.
    • You can save battle points across waves from within a level, but not across levels.
      • In the last couple levels saving a few battle points from early waves makes the final wave much easier.
      • Try to use all your battle points in the third wave of each level as you can not carry the battle points across to the next level.
